Claire commenced financial planning in 1997 in Perth and has been with Financial Affairs since her move to Melbourne in 2001. Claire became a Self Managed Super Fund Association Specialist Adviser in 2013. Claire has undertaken mandatory training related to the provision of financial planning, and can provide specialist advice on a range of financial matters.

Though Claire has worked across all areas of financial planning she is particularly focussed on the comprehensive strategies associated with the running of Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF), retirement planning second generation wealth transfer, including disability support trusts and wealth creation

strategies. As part of her role, Claire is a member of the Financial Affairs investment committee which compiles, researches and reviews the investments used in all client portfolios. This involves sourcing potential new investments for our clients and the monitoring of the investments recommended on an ongoing basis.

Claire is focussed on building strong open relationships with her clients and helping create a tailored strategy for her clients to reach both their short term and lifestyle goals. Claire believes open communication and well set expectations on both sides are critical to her client relationships.

Wendy has been involved in the financial services industry for over 30 years, starting at Financial Affairs in 2016 and brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Senior Financial Adviser. Historically, Wendy has held positions within a number of high profile Fund Managers, including an Australian equities, fixed interest and a property fund manager; a superannuation and investment financial service provider and has experience in private banking. Wendy has previously managed a Financial Planning division of a Chartered Accounting practice and most recently managed a Financial Planning practice.

Wendy focuses on building strong relationships, providing clients with personal tailored quality advice and is also a part of Financial Affairs investment committee which forms the basis for our investment advice.

All Financial Affairs Advisers have undertaken mandatory training related to the provision of financial planning, and can provide specialist advice on a range of financial matters. All Financial Affairs Advisers are required to continually update their knowledge and skills through ongoing training.

Joining Financial Affairs in 2018, Fiona brings over 10 years’ experience in paraplanning, compliance and associate adviser roles, as well as time in the IT industry as a business analyst.  Fiona works alongside the Financial Affairs advisers to assist in formulating our clients’ strategies, providing technical support and financial modelling.  Fiona also enjoys being a secondary adviser for our clients.  Using her experience in compliance and process improvement, Fiona works with the whole team to ensure that our clients receive a high level of care.

Fiona is completing the CFP® Certification Program with the Financial Planning Association of Australia, and enjoys continually updating her knowledge to ensure her technical skills remain current.

Helena works closely with the advisers to ensure that the financial planning process for our clients runs smoothly. She can usually be found processing forms for client investments, annual renewals and reweights. She enjoys keeping the clients up to date by working on the website regularly and assists the advisers when corporate actions come around. Helena has been working with us for almost 10 years.

Receptionist

Lilian commenced July 2018 as receptionist for Financial Affairs and AB Phillips group. She will be the first person you see when you visit the office! When she’s not making coffee, she spends her time sorting the mail and emails and assists with general administration jobs when required.

Brett Williams

Authorised Representative

Brett has an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services (Adv Dip FP). Brett initially founded Financial Affairs in 1991, more recently Brett established Complete Super Solutions  in 2004 which provides a team of experienced, superannuation specialists to assist accountants and financial planners in the administration of their clients’ SMSFs.

Brett is authorised to provide financial product advice in deposit and payment products – Basic and Non-Basic Deposit Products only.

Brett has always had a strong interest in developing the technology that our practice uses in order for the business to ensure that it can keep a competitive advantage in an ever changing financial services environment.
